Zayn Malik: To be racist goes against my existence

Singer Zayn Malik, whose father is British-Pakistani, has defended girlfriend Gigi Hadid after she was accused of racism for a controversial video.

The previous One Route star mentioned the mannequin “likes Asians” and that to be a racist goes towards his “very existence”.

The Victoria’s Secret mannequin was seen in her sister Bella’s ‘story’ on the picture and video sharing web site Instagram throughout a meal out as she held up what seemed to be a Buddha cookie and squinted her eyes to impersonate the face.

Followers weren’t happy after the clip was shared on-line.

Zayn insisted that Hadid “likes Asians”, reviews mirror.co.uk.

One fan tweeted to the singer, saying: “Being of Asian descent, how do you’re feeling about your girlfriend making enjoyable of Asian folks?”

“Belief me… she likes Asians,” the singer wrote again.

And he added: “Folks’s nerve to name me ignorant, when any likelihood they get I am a terrorist! To be a racist goes in opposition to my very existence. So, please do not attempt to educate me.”
